So the question is: Since MSI allows Optimus to be disabled+they use a G-Sync certified screen, does this mean that this laptop supports G-Sync with the built in panel? Or did MSI actually cheap out and not implement the G-Sync license in the BIOS and despite having G-Sync capable hardware, the laptop does not support G-Sync with the built in screen due to software limitations?Ĭan someone with this laptop please confirm which one is it? Thinking it might be a video driver issue, I rolled-back to the previous version, but that didn't bring it back until I perform the steps above. Also make sure you are using a DisplayPort cable. The 'Set up G-SYNC' option should then appear.

Under 'Global Settings' set 'Monitor Technology' to 'G-SYNC Compatible'. First in the NVIDIA Control Panel, under '3D Settings' go to 'Manage 3D settings'. I followed these instructions, which basically say turn everything off, disconnected then reconnect everything, and then turn it back on and voila! G-Sync is back! However, it keeps intermittently going away. An option to enable gsync should appear in the control panel. For the last few weeks, however, G-Sync keeps getting disabled and when I go into the NVIDIA Control Panel, the option doesn't even show. For months, I've been using G-Sync and it has worked flawlessly.

If your G-Sync can’t work properly on Windows 10, you should enable V-Sync.
